| Description | A bird’s eye view of the “Ruined Castle Fire” shows the rough terrain of this section of the Blue Mountains, near Katoomba in New South Wales. Rick Lang caught these views on camera from the vantage of a 690 Turbo Commander, a fixed wing, twin engine aircraft making a “Show Me Run” just ahead of a large air tanker making a retardant drop.
