Description

05.11.2023, ca. 18:30 Uhr MEZ/CET, bei/near Leipzig

🇬🇧 I wanted to do something in the garden as I looked into the sky and saw incredible intensly red light. After realising that it wasn't man-made light pollution, I quickly picked up my camera gear and rushed out onto the balcony. The red slowly turned into this pink colour. It was the first time I had seen auroras, as they are not common here (Kp index of 7 is required).

🇩🇪 Nur durch absoluten Zufall habe ich intensives Rotglühen am Himmel gesehen. Nachdem ich realisiert hatte, dass es keine menschengemachte Lichtverschmutzung ist, habe ich schnell alles zusammengepackt und bin auf den Balkon gestürmt. Das Rot wandelte sich langsam in dieses Pink. Es war das erste Mal, dass ich (bewusst) Polarlichter gesehen habe, da sie hier nicht häufig vorkommen (Kp-Index-Wert von 7 ist schon nötig).
