Standing as Manchester College chjes for thorough, Christian education,and for efficient service to the world, her steady growth and normal expan-sion has l)rought joy and gratitude to her numerous supporters Throughthe various hardships which seem to come in the development of a collegiateinstitution, she has realized the distinctive jjurpose of her existence and hassucceeded in over-riding her difficulties. Different eras of growth have beendistinctly marked in her history, and one of the most outstanding of thesemarks was the completion and dedication, on January 7, 1921, of the Admin-istration Building, which contains spacious, nicely fitted class and societyrooms, besides a large, brightly lighted library, and an auditorium seatingnearly a thousand peojjle. The need for such a building had long been felt.and the achievement of it is a distinct index to the vitality of the educationalmovement. Page
