Augustus Chandler Is Dead. Former Long Branch Mayor. Long Branch, New Jersey. Former Mayor Augustus Chandler died yesterday yesterday at his home. 41 Third avenue. avenue. He was seventy-three seventy-three seventy-three years old and the sou of Leason Chandler. Chandler. He was educated at Glenwood Seminary. Matawan, and for thirty years had been head o the lumber firm of Chandler & Maps, Inc. He was president of the New Jersey Mortgage & Trust Co., a member of the board of governors of Monmouth Memorial Hospital and also a member of the Rotary Club, Elks, Chamber of Commerce and Simpson Methodist Methodist Episcopal Church. Mr. Chandler had charge of all the Liberty loan drives here during during the war. Besides his wife he is survived by a brother, John W. Chandler. Funeral services will be held at his borne tomorrow afternoon.
