Kommentar: Die Vorder- und Rückseite ehren den Augustus: Die Vs. zeigt eine Reiterstatue des Princeps vor den Stadtmauern Roms. Gestiftet wurde es ihm nach Ausweis der Dedikationsinschrift von Senat und Volk. Anlass dafür bot die Erneuerung verschiedener Ausfallstraßen durch den Kaiser. Die Rs. präsentiert in einem Meilenstein ein weiteres Ehrenmonument von Senat und Volk. Hier wird insbesondere die von Augustus vorgenommene Überweisung von Geldern an die Staatskasse erinnert, mit denen die Instandsetzung vorgenommen wurde.
