Description
English: Caption text says "Rodin's Adam, gift of Robert Allerton to Chicago, is the latest accretion to the Art Institute of Chicago's treasure of original masterpieces. The statue depicts the dawn of consciousness in the first man after the Creator had breathed life into his body of clay. A small marble reproduction of a companion pieced called Eve, lent by Martin A. Ryerson, also is in the institute."
