Description
Français : Peinture intitulée "Juive de Tanger en costume de fête" du peintre français Auguste Delacroix (1821–1879). La femme porte un Caftan marocain, porté sur une Sadriya en broderie Khanjar, typique de la ville de Tanger et Tétouan. Elle est embellie d'un long voile, fabriqué en soie, appelé "Izar del-harir" en bandes colorées qui constitue un héritage de la ville de Tanger.
English: Painting titled “Jewess of Tangier in Festive Costume” by French painter Auguste Delacroix (1821–1879). The woman wears a Moroccan Caftan, worn over a Sadriya in Khanjar embroidery, typical of the city of Tangier and Tetouan. The woman is embellished with a long veil, made of silk, called "Izar del-harir" in colored bands which constitutes a heritage of the city of Tangier.
