August 25, 2015 -- Lawrence County Grazing and Rangeland Field Day August 25, 2015 –Begins 3:00 p.m. Ellen Reddick Ranch –1.5 miles south of Saint OngeTopics will include: • What is rangeland soil health and why is it important in the future for NRCS conservation planning and programs • Demonstration of rangeland monitoring methods for the NRCS CSP program and beyond • An overview of the NUTBAL (Beef Cattle Nutritional Balancer) program for determining grazing animal diet quality • Beef cattle reproduction • Pasture walk and grassland bird and plant identification Please reply for planning purposes.
