Description
Deutsch: Naturdenkmal 1.3.2.2.4 „Geologischer Aufschluss Steinbruch Vorhalle“ in Hagen, Sporbecker Weg. Der ehemalige Ziegelei-Steinbruch ist eine der wichtigsten Fossilfundstellen in Deutschland. Es handelt sich um einen geologischen Aufschluss (Steinbruchwand) aus Schieferton mit eingelagertem Grauwackesandstein aus dem flözleeren Oberkarbon. Weltberühmt ist die Fundstelle jedoch wegen der hier vorkommenden fossilen Landlebewesen, den Insekten und Spinnentieren. Der Stammbaum der Insekten lässt sich 400 Millionen Jahre in die Vergangenheit zurückverfolgen. Die ersten Insekten waren flügellos. Foto: Sattel im Steinbruch.
