Deutsch: Hightech trifft Handarbeit – Lilienthal-Gleiter im Windkanal
Otto Lilienthal war der Pionier der Luftfahrt. Er war der erste, der erkannt und dokumentiert hat, dass ein gewölbter Flügel mehr Auftrieb erzeugen kann als ein flacher - sogar mehr als doppelt so viel. Forscher des DLR haben seinen "Normalsegelapparat" - das weltweit erste Serienflugzeug - nach Originalplänen nachgebaut und im Windkanal auf seine aerodynamischen Eigenschaften untersucht.
