Description
English: This is an Audi 2.8 L SOHC V6 engine in a 1996 Audi A4, with the plastic engine cover removed. This is the older 12-valve engine; it was later replaced with a 30-valve version of identical displacement. This was the only engine available in the North American A4 for the 1996 model year. Note the longitudinal engine mounting, the wide, 90-degree bank angle, and the unusually forward placement of the engine (necessitating somewhat awkward placement of the battery), all common traits of Audis.
