Description
English: Advertisement for the American film Auction of Souls (1919) aka Ravished Armenia with Aurora Mardiganian, also recommending selling the book Ravished Armenia at theatrical showings, on page 10 of the August 2, 1919 Exhibitors Herald. The ad refers to early showings of the film in New York and other major cities where a $10 admission was charged to raise funds for Armenian relief. When the film was issued for general release later that year, many theater ads compared their admission price with the $10 paid for the early showings of the film.
