Deutsch: Attendorn, Kölner Straße 40. Stolperstein für Else Ursell geb. Hentschel (13.04.1890–28.10.1942). Else heiratete am 24. März 1920 den Fabrikant Albert Ursell. Als ihr Mann 1928 starb war sie Gesellschafterin der Firma A.A. Ursell. Nach der Arisierung der Firma lebte Else Ursell mit ihrem Sohn Herbert zunächst noch in der Villa an der Kölner Straße, der ältere Sohn Günther war 1937 schon nach Frankfurt gezogen. Nach der Zerstörung ihres Besitzes während des Pogroms 1938 entschloss sich Else Ursell zur Auswanderung. Wegen des erheblichen Vermögens und Grundbesitzes stand sie mit der Dominikanischen Republik in Verhandlung wegen des Aufbaus einer Blechwarenfabrik in Mittelamerika. Durch den Kriegsausbruch kam es dann aber nicht mehr zur Durchführung dieser Pläne. Sie lebte in der Folgezeit in Köln und München bei Bekannten. Um eine letzte Ausreisemöglichkeit zu nutzen, heiratete sie am 26. Juni 1940 in München den verwitweten Geschäftsmann Max Kaufmann. Die beabsichtigte Ausreise zerschlug sich aber erneut. Beide wurden am 23. Juli 1942 nach Theresienstadt deportiert und danach im KZ Auschwitz ermordet. Elses Sohn Günther wurde im Osten (Riga) ermordet und sein Bruder Herbert im KZ Majdanek. |
