Description
English: Connecting an Atmel AVR to a PC serial port using resistors to form a "poor man's" level converter. This circuit may work on some PC's, but is an extremely poor choice for a serial interface that must be reliable, i.e. in any sort of production-quality product. Still, 2 resistors are a lot cheaper than more appropriate solutions such a MAX232-family IC, or a discrete solution using transistors.
