English: Topographical Atlas Paris and surroundings. See our 10401.000 for a colored version. Dedicated and presented to the 1st Consul Bonaparte. Edited in 1775 by Dom Guillaume. Revised and engraved in 1800 by Charles Picquet. Atlas consists of one detailed topographic map on 16 numbered plates. Covers: Gisors, Beaumont, Senlis, La Ferte-Milon, Mantes, Pontoise, Meaux and Chateau-Thiery, Dreux, Versailles, Brie sur Yeres, Coulommiers, Chartres, Estampes, Melun and Provins. Showing roads, railroads, footprint of buildings, forest, parks, rivers, canals and bridges. Relief shown by hachures and shadings. Includes decorative title cartouche. Title page includes index map. Bound in green marbled paper-covered boards and title “Environs de Paris” in gilt in on spine. |
