Title
DVCATO DI MODENA REGIO ET CARPI, Col Dominio della Carfagnana
Object type map
object_type QS:P31,Q4006
Description
English: Although the impressum of this map suggests a cooperative edition of Willem Jansz. Blaeu (1571-1638) and Joan Blaeu (1598-1673), it seems that this map was originally published in 1640 in the the third volume of the Atlas Novus by Joan and his brother Cornelius Blaeu (c. 1610-1642). As most of the maps of Italy, this map was copied by Blaeu after an example from the map book Italia by the Italian cartographer Giovanni Antonio Magini (1555-1617).
