Description
Nederlands: De tuinen van het kasteel van Versailles worden beschouwd als een schepping van de Franse koning Lodewijk XIV. Lodewijk was bijzonder gesteld op bloemen en die waren in de grote bloementuin van het kasteel le grand trianon dan ook in overvloed voorhanden. Dit gezicht op de bloementuin werd in 1684 gegraveerd door de graveur Willem_Swidde (ca. 1660-1697).
English: The gardens of the casle of Versailles are considered as the creation of the French king Louis XIV. Louis XIV had a particularly liking of flowers and these were therefore present in abundance in the castle le grand trianon. This view on the flower gardens was engraved in 1684 by Willem_Swidde (c. 1660-1697).
