Description
Nederlands: Deze kaart werd in 1635 gepubliceerd door Willem Jansz. Blaeu (1571-1638). Ook na 1635 werd de kaart regelmatig gebruikt voor andere uitgaven van Blaeu, bijvoorbeeld voor de Atlas Maior van Joan Blaeu (1598-1673) uit 1662. Blaeu ontleende de afbeelding aan een kaart van de Franse kartograaf Damien de Templeux die in 1619 was gepubliceerd in het Théatre géographique du Royaume de France van Jean Leclerc (1560-1621/22).
English: This map was published in 1635 by Willem Jansz. Blaeu (1571-1638). Even after 1635 the map was used regularly for other publications by Blaeu such as the Atlas Maior by Joan Blaeu (1598-1673) in 1662. Blaeu based the image of the map on the work of the French cartographer Damien de Templeux. De Templeux designed the map for the Théatre géographique du Royaume de France published in 1619 by Jean Leclerc (1560-1621/22).
