Description
Nederlands: We zien hier een plattegrond van het tuinencomplex van het landgoed Enghien nabij Brussel. De plattegrond behoort tot een reeks prenten die in opdracht van de uitgever Nicolaes Visscher II (1649-1702) door de graveur Romeyn de Hooghe (1645-1708) werd samengesteld. Als we de plattegrond goed bekijken dan valt op dat het park verdeelt was in drie grote secties, die verbonden werden door lange en rechte lanen, zogenaamde allées.; Cijfers (1-37) worden verklaard in een legenda onder aan de kaart in een legenda verklaard. Rechtsonder: C. Samen op 1 blad met E
English: The print shows a plan of the complex of pleasure gardens of Enghien near Brussels. The plan is part of a series of prints commissioned by Nicolaes Visscher II (1649-1702) and engraved by Romeyn de Hooghe (1645-1708). The plan of the parc shows a division in three large sections with long and strait lanes between them, the so-called allées.
