Description |
Nederlands: De Poolse stad Krakow werd in de 8de eeuw gesticht. De stad gold als een belangrijk handelscentrum. Krakow was lange tijd de hoofdstad van Polen tot dat het regeringscentrum in 1596 naar Warschau werd verplaatst. Krakow bleef tot ver in de 18de eeuw de plaats waar de Poolse koningen werden gekroond. Dit gezicht op de stad Krakow werd vermoedelijk gepubliceerd door Jan Janssonius (1588-1664).
English: The Polish city Krakow was founded in the 8th century. The city was known as an important commercial center. Krakow stayed the capital of Poland for a long time until the government was moved to Warsaw in 1596. Until far into the 18th century, the Polish kings were crowned in Krakow. This view on the city of Krakow was probable published by Jan Janssonius (1588-1664). |
