Summary

[edit]
Description
English: NASA's Magnetospheric Multiscale observatories (MMS), enclosed in an Atlas payload fairing, are lifted high above the pad surface into the Vertical Integration Facility on Space Launch Complex 41 on Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. MMS, led by a team from NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, consists of four identical spacecraft that will work together to provide the first three-dimensional view of magnetic reconnection, a fundamental process which occurs throughout the universe. Launch aboard a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket is set for March 12.
