Nederlands: Deze kaart werd vervaardigd naar aanleiding van het beleg en de verovering van de stad Sluis door een Nederlands leger onder leiding van Prins Maurits. Toch werd de kaart eerst in 1649

gepubliceerd in het tweede deel van het stedenboek van Joan Blaeu (1596-1673). In deze atlas bracht Blaeu meer dan 200 plattegronden samen van Nederlandse steden en verschillende

forten.
English: This map was produced at the time of the siege of the town of Sluis by a Dutch army led by Prince Maurits. The map was only published in 1649 in the second volume of Joan Blaeus (1596-1673) Town Books of the Netherlands. In this atlas, Blaeu published more than 200 town plans and fortress plans of Dutch cities.
