Description Statue of Athena (or Minerva). Photo-engraving from the original marble statue in the Vatican at Rome. This statue is known as Atena (or Minerva) Giustiniani. It was found in the temple of Minerva Medica on the Esquiline Hill, and is supposed to be a copy of a statue by Pheidias. It is admirably preserved, and is sculpted in the finest Parian marble. Vatican, Museums.
