Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Astrophyllite, Eudialyte group, Microcline (FOV 3.6 x 2.5 mm)
Locality: Demix-Varennes quarry, Saint-Amable sill, Varennes & St-Amable, Lajemmerais RCM, Montérégie, Québec, Canada
Found June 2000. MOB coll.
Everything has an indigo iridescent coating which is especially noticeable on the astrophyllite "book". This "book" habit, with individual astrophyllite "pages" joined at a common "spine" is common - even typical - at STA. The pink stuff (also coated) is probably plain eudialyte. The white plates are microcline. There are also few blades of dark green aegirine.
