Italiano: Astraeus hygrometricus. Il Carpoforo, di forma sferica, inizia lo sviluppo parzialmente sepolto nel substrato,quando il fungo matura lo strato più esterno, l’Esoperidio, si apre a stella, provocando la fuoriuscita dal terreno del carpoforo e mostrando l’endoperidio sferico centrale. Astraeus hygrometricus si comporta come un igrometro, misura l’umidità dell’aria: le lacinie dell'esoperidio si aprono e si chiudono a seconda del grado di umidità dell’ambiente: si schiudono in presenza di molta umidità, e si richiudono su se stessi se l’aria è secca. English: Astraeus hygrometricus fungus. The carpophore, spherical in shape, begins to develop partially buried in the substrate, when the fungus matures the outermost layer, Exoperidium, opens like a star, causing the carpophore to emerge from the ground and showing the central spherical endoperidium. Astraeus hygrometricus behaves like a hygrometer, it measures the humidity of the air: the rays of the exoperidium open and close depending on the degree of humidity in the environment: they open in the presence of humidity, and close in on themselves if the air is dry. |
