English: The Aston Villa team of 1899 that won First Division and Sheriff of London Charity Shield (shared with Queen's Park). The hugely successful team Ramsay assembled at the end of the 19th Century. Ramsay can be seen standing on the far left of the back row. The presence of the large shield (the Sheriff of London Shield) in the centre of the image attests to this being an 1899 photograph.
