Description
Nederlands: Beschrijving De Westerhal op de Westermarkt

Op de voorgrond de Keizersgracht. De gekleurde fotolitho is een eigen druk door de uitvinder van het procédé, Eduard Isaac Asser. Aan de voorstelling ligt een eveneens door Asser vervaardigde fotografische opname ten grondslag op een natte collodiumplaat; zoutdrukken hiervan worden bewaard op het Rijksprentenkabinet en het Koninklijk Oudheidkundig Genootschap, beide te Amsterdam.
