It was to be progressively absorbed by the Kingdom of Hejaz and Nejd (later to become Saudi Arabia). The photograph is from Ameer Rihani's book Around the Coasts of Arabia (1930). Rihani travelled throughout the Arabian Peninsula in 1922–1923 |
