Summary
[edit]DescriptionAshby St Ledgers - geograph.org.uk - 89244.jpg |
English: Pavilion Lodge on A361 Daventry Road near Ashby St Ledgers. This building was originally two gate houses forming a grand entrance to Ashby Lodge. Ashby Lodge itself was a fine country house set in an extensive estate. Part of the stable block remains. Lord Wimbourne acquired Ashby Lodge in the early part of the 20 century and promptly demolished the house. The gatehouses however remained and were joined together with a design by Edwin Lutyens to form a single home. |
