Description
English: Bust of a young man from the Aruwimi area in Congo, sculpted from drawings made by Ward during his stay with the Stanley expedition in 1884–9. A plaster was exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français, Paris in 1901 (?) and a bronze at the same Salon in 1902.
Français : Buste d'un jeune homme de la région d'Aruimi au Congo, sculpté d'après des dessins réalisés par Ward pendant qu'il accompagnait l'expédition Stanley en 1884-1889. Un exemplaire en plâtre a été exposé au Salon des artistes français en 1901 (?) et un exemplaire en bronze au même salon en 1902.
