Description
Deutsch: In der Neuen Aula (Alte Bibliothek) der Berliner Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität gestaltete Arthur Kampf (1864–1950) im Jahr 1914–15 das Wandgemälde „Fichte als Redner an die deutsche Nation“. Es war etwa 12 Meter breit und sechs Meter hoch. Das Gemälde wurde im Zweiten Weltkrieg vernichtet. Fichte war der erste Rektor der Universität Er steht in der Mitte. Ganz rechts ist eine Gruppe Gelehrte zu sehen (Friedrich Schleiermacher, Friedrich Carl von Savigny, Christoph Wilhelm Hufeland, Wilhelm von Humboldt, Karl Friedrich von Beyme, Johann Elert Bode, Friedrich August Wolf). English: In the New Auditorium (Old Library) of Berlin's Friedrich Wilhelms University, painter Arthur Kampf (1864–1950) created the mural "Fichte as an orator to the German nation". It measured 12 by 6 meters. The painting was destroyed during the Second World War. Fichte was the university's first rector. He stands at center. At far right, a group of scholars can be seen (Friedrich Schleiermacher, Friedrich Carl von Savigny, Christoph Wilhelm Hufeland, Wilhelm von Humboldt, Karl Friedrich von Beyme, Johann Elert Bode, Friedrich August Wolf).
