Summary
[edit]DescriptionArt-Deco Detail - geograph.org.uk - 1573310.jpg |
English: Art-Deco Detail. Lister Gate, Nottingham. The building is currently occupied by Marks & Spencer.
It was built in 1936-37 and designed by the in-house architects of FW Woolworth. They obviously pulled-out all the stops to produce a flagship town centre shop. Changed hands from Woolworths I think about 15 years ago. Grade II listed in 1995, which might date the change over if Woolworth were selling at the time and there were fears that it might get redeveloped. See also 1556809 |
