Arriva's 8016, with a service 50 from Narborough, is seen on Gravel Street in Leicester city centre on its way to St. Margaret's Bus Station, passing First's 36627 which is sitting in a bus stand after having worked a service 14A from Beaumont Leys.

Description
English: And now for a comparison between Arriva's and First's Wright Streetdeck Electroliners. The most obvious difference between the two companies' Streetdeck Electroliners is that while First opted for full-height Electroliners, in common with their existing diesel ones, Arriva decided to buy the low-height version instead, distinguished by the cropped upstairs front windshield.I used to really dislike the low-height version, but I now find it vagely tolerable; however the recent facelift has radically changed the appearance of the Streetdeck, making it aesthetically pleasing even in low-height configuration. In a way, it would be better if Arriva switched sooner rather than later to avoid a standardisation nightmare, but then again. I am still struck by the uniformity of the electric bus fleet in Leicester.

Other differences are cosmetic: on First's new Streetdeck Electroliners, the headlamp clusters are painted green, whereas Arriva's Streetdecks and First's own Wright GB Kite Electroliners have black headlamp clusters instead. Moreover First's new 'deckers have a green band separating the lower windshield from the destination blind, which the Kites and Arriva's Streetdecks lack. At the back, the corner pillars of the upper deck are painted black, while the grille behind the lower deck is painted green. However, First's have green corner pillars, and the grille (and the corner panels next to the grille) are painted black, which gives the rear end an appearance strikingly similar to that of the Wright Pulsar and Eclipse Geminis that once plied the bus routes of the city of Leicester. I don't know if the redesign of the rear end made deliberate reference to this, but it is nevertheless a nice touch. Lastly, Arriva's Electroliners have a pair of skylights in the roof near the front of the bus, which First's examples lack.
