English: Arriva Guildford & West Surrey 3591 (T591 CGT), a Dennis Dart SLF/Plaxton Pointer 2, in Woodbridge Road, waiting at the traffic lights to turn left into Onslow Street, Guildford, Surrey, on route 42. The bus is one of a few owned by Surrey County Council, and one of two Darts leased to Arriva. They were purchased by the council to use up the last of a year's budget that would have otherwise been lost. The idea was to use them on Surrey CC tendered services to the south of Guildford. Arriva's 3591 and 3592 (T591 CGT and T592 CGT) started off being leased to Tillingbourne, but moved to Arriva after Tillingbourne collapsed and Arriva took over some of their Surrey CC tendered routes. Dart T593 CGT went to Stagecoach, and there was also an Optare MetroRider, T594 CGT that saw service with various operators, including Countryliner, but has since gone. From new, the T59x CGT vehicles wore a special "Surrey Links" livery showing that Surrey CC owned the buses. This livery lasted many years on the two Arriva vehicles, but when seen here 3591 had recently been repainted into Arriva's interurban livery with route branding for Surrey CC tendered routes 42 and 44. This was a rather desperate shot taken from across the other side of Onslow Street.
