Description
Español: Arpones filipinos. Museo de América. Descripciones de arriba a abajo:
  • Flecha arponada compuesta por un astil de madera y una punta metálica. En el extremo proximal presenta dos bandas formadas por varias vueltas de fibra vegetal, que debieron sujetar plumas, hoy no conservadas. En el tercio distal tiene enrollada tiras de fibra vegetal fijadas con adhesivo natural y una cuerda torsionada en cuyo extremo se ata una punta metálica de forma triangular con pedúnculo largo y dos filas de tres dientes. Presenta una muesca con perfil en "U" para encajar la cuerda del arco. material: Madra, hierro, fibra vegetal y resina natural. Longitud: 87 cm; diámetro: 1 cm. Punta: Longitud: 20,50 cm; grosor: 0,40 cm; anchura máxima: 4,50 cm. Nº inv. 02830.
  • Arpón compuesto por astil de madera y punta metálica. En el extremo proximal presenta tres plumas sujetas con fibras vegetales de distintos grosores. En el tercio distal tiene enrollada una cinta trenzada en cuyo extremo se ata una punta metálica de forma triangular con pedúnculo largo y una única aleta.
Este arpón tiene una punta de metal que se embute en el extremo distal del astil y se separa cuando se introduce en el cuerpo de la presa, quedando unido a aquel a través de la cinta para que el cazador pueda recuperarlo. Material: Madera, hierro, pluma y fibra vegetal. Longitud: 85,50 cm; diámetro: 0,80 cm. Punta: Longitud: 16,20 cm; anchura: 2,10 cm. Nº inv. 02841.
