Es una pareja, de galaxias (NGC 6621 y NGC 6622) que se observan en interacción en la constelación Draco a unos 300 miilones de años luz. Las galaxias se ven unos 100 millones de años después de su máximo acercamiento, La mayor de las dos es NGC 6621, una galaxia espiral muy perturbada, el encuentro le ha arrancado una larga cola que se retuerce tras su cuerpo. En la cola se ha disparado la formación de jóvenes estrellas gigantes azules. 0.41m F10 RCT + Filtro LP + CMOS Exp. 4h 20m |
