English: Mount McKinley (center) rises above the Alaska Range on the Kahiltna Glacier, May 20. A team of eight soldiers and one Army civilian from Fort Wainwright were transported by CH-47 Chinook helicopter to the National Park Service base camp on the glacier where they began their attempt to climb North America's tallest peak. The team members are representatives of U.S. Army Alaska's Northern Warfare Training Center and the 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division. (Army photo/John Pennell) |
