Summary

[edit]
Description Tom Stonehocker, project engineer and architect for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District, stands next to two 150,000 gallon water tanks at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. The tanks pump nearly 1,000 gallons of water per minute into five overhead outlets where it mixes with foam and is then rapidly expelled to extinguish any potential fires inside the nearly 76,000-square-foot F-35 jet hangar.
