English: An Air Force C17 Globemaster from the 62nd Airlift Wing,based out of Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., lands on an old Israeli airstrip in the Sinai Peninsula of Egypt Aug. 19, 2104. the airstrip is now used by the Multinational Force and Observers stationed in Sinai Egypt. The Airmen landed in the Sinai to help provide airlift support of a UH-60 Black Hawk to Soldiers from the Aviation Company, 1st Support Battalion, Task force Sinai. The Blackhawk was loaded into the belly of the C-17 Globemaster and transported to Germany will it will undergo advanced maintenance. UH-60 Black Hawk's and their crews play a vital role in the MFO and is a primary way for Soldiers and civilians to travel the Sinai and support the mission of observing, verifying and reporting on the Egypt-Israeli peace treaty.
