1949 AARS WINNER TALLYHO Tallyho is a Hybrid Tea Rose combining many of the finest character- istics found in the best of the older roses, with a color which is entirely â jpS new. We have to call it a pink, but you will find it unlike any other pink shade you have ever seen in a rose. Although Tallyho is a bicolor, the contrast is not great. The inside of the petals is always a delightful shade of pink, technically Tyrian Rose, China Rose, Phlox Pink, or Neyron Rose, while the outside or reverse varies from Crimson to Cardinal Red. The color scheme is difficult to describe, but there is no difficulty in telling you about the delightful spicy fragrance which this rose has in abundance. The robust growth of the plant is one of its finest characteristics. Continually branching, it throws out long straight flower stems each crowned with a beautiful ovoid bud which opens to a magnificent large high-centered fully double flower of exquisite shape. Good Everywhere Tallyho has done exceptionally well all along the Pacific Coast and along the Atlantic Sea- board, as well. Excellent reports are reaching us from the Midwest and South. We think that Tallyho is going to be a great favorite for many years to come because of its beau- tiful color, rich fragrance, and fine form in the open bloom. Originated in the Arm- strong Research Dept. by H. C. Swim. Plant Pat. No. 828. $2.00 each; 3 or more, $1.70 each.
