4th Lord Grey of Ruthyn created Earl of Kent in 1645, the 12th earl created Duke of Kent in 1710, title extinct in 1741. Source: https://archive.org/stream/generalarmoryofe00burk#page/427/mode/1up The General Armory of England, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales, pg. 427. The title Baron Grey of Codnor fell into abeyance in 1496 on the death of Henry Grey, known as the seventh Baron, and after 493 years was terminated in the favour of Charles Cornwall-Legh, subsequently fifth Baron after the re-dating.
