Español: Armadura kurab-a-kulang de origen filipino de Joló. Usada por los moros del Sur de las islas Filipinas. Esa presenta una clara influenza española : las nativas copieron las armaduras capturadas a los españoles, para realizarles con los materiales propios de su medio : asta de carabao, plata repujada, metal y eslabones de cadenas. Presenta motivos decorativos curvilineos. Museo del Ejército de Toledo
Français : Armure "kurab-a-kulang" provenant de Sulu dans les Philippines (Asie du sud-est). Elle était utilisée par les Maures du Sud des Philippines. Celle-ci montre une influence espagnole manifeste : les indigènes ont copié les armures prises aux Espagnols pour en fabriquer avec les matériaux propres à leur environnement : hampe de kérabau, argent repoussé, métal et cotte de maille (eslabones de cadenas). Elle présente des motifs décoratifs curvilignes. Exposée au Musée de l'armée à Tolède, en Espagne. |
