Summary
[edit]DescriptionArlington Street Showers.jpg |
English: I waited an entire summer for this painting. It didn't rain until September. At around 7 am, I took a cab to Arlington Street and started to capture the scene of people rushing to work. I remember a moment when the wet paint was so similar to the wet scene it confused me. This received the Yankee Sagendorph Award from The Copley Society in 1984 and was published in the January 1985 issue of Yankee magazine; the book, Realism in Revolution: The Art of the Boston School; and on the cover of G.K. Hall & Company's Spring 1989 Catalogue. In 1984, it was published as a limited (950) edition print and sold out. This painting was shown in my retrospective, Blue Light, in April 1989 at The Copley Society of Boston. 26x35 |
