Description
English: Arkose is a generally coarse-grained, well-sorted to poorly-sorted, siliciclastic sedimentary rock. It is dominated by pinkish-orangish clasts of potassium felspar and quartz. Arkose can be sandstone (~all sand-sized grains) or a breccia (angular gravel to granules to sand). This example is an arkosic breccia.

Locality: unrecorded / undisclosed site attributed to Mt. Tom (the mountain or the mountain range), western Massachusetts, USA
