Chapelle Saint-Benoît This chapel of the 15th and 16th centuries was built at the initiative of Louis de Bourbon, lord of Argenton, and Antoine Barbault, prior of Saint-Marcel, probably with the destination indicated by a title of 1517 concerning the chapel of the small college of Argenton. The building was badly shaken in 1740, when a trench was opened to pass the new road. The chapel was sold as a national property in 1793 and given to the city by the buyers in the year III. It then served as a grain warehouse and wheat market annex. It was restored in 1873 under the direction of architect Dauvergne. Today, it serves as an exhibition space. It has been classified as a Historic Monument since May 31, 1944.
