English: Ardrossan Winton Pier railway station (site), Ayrshire Opened in 1840 by the Ardrossan Railway, the line curved gently to the right here along the roadway to a dock on the right, just out of view. The station closed in 1987 when it was cut back 200m to the current Ardrossan Harbour station (behind the camera position), with ferries now leaving from the quay on the left. |
