English: Ardfert Cathedral. This walled ecclesiastical site appears to rise out of the countryside on its north side. The site dates back to the C5th, see1426381, and there are links with St Brendan the Navigator. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brendan
The large ruin is the roofless nave of the C13th cathedral, and to the right are two small churches, Temple na Hoe, and then Temple na Griffin with the bellcote. |
