Description
English: Students standing in front of the entrance to the old building of Holyoke High School, designed in 1898 by George P. B. Alderman. Note the inscriptions on either side of the entrance, left to right reading:

That her people may be strong and efficient citizens, Holyoke builds this temple of science, literature, industry and art. You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
