Twenty-four hour fluoroscopic ex-amination. Enormous gastric residue,apparently due to an almost completeretention in the stomach; only irregularshadows in the remainder of the bowel.Plate. Review of the fluoroscopic examina-tion and study of the plates shows anenormous aperistaltic stomach with atotal obstruction. There seems to beno evidence of barium shadows in theupper or lower bowel. We think thisamount of retention is probably due toan obstructive lesion which is appar-ently a malignant lesion, not showingas a gastric defect.- Pathological Report: Autoijsy1 363. A-44-AA. H. B.
