Description |
A view of a corner of the remaining arch from the third Union Station, designed by architect, Daniel Hudson Burnham and opened in 1897. The arch was a part of the Beaux Arts style entrance facade that was at street level on North High Street. This photo was taken the day of the dedication ceremony for Arch Park, located at Marconi Boulevard and West Hickory Street. Plans to move the arch there were made shortly after the Union Station was demolished on October 22, 1976. See also: "Arch Park Dedicated" in the Columbus Dispatch, June 7, 1980, page B-9. |
